15: Gareth, Man of the House

When the twins turned into toddlers, we figured we had a lot more work added to our daily routine.

I was surprised that each and everyone of us were cooperative enough.

Gareth helped me in teaching the twins how to walk and talk from time to time.

And us, grown ups, needed to tend the garden each day to add up to our family earnings.

My father Dave also spent quality time with Maxine and Madeline every now and then. Maxine is starting her first words from their day-to-day conversations.

Mortimer also helps with the household chores and general cleaning.

And when he's at it, I take his turn on playing with our kids.

It has been a really busy week for us now that the kids needed much attention and teaching. We are all busy and stressed out most of the days. Fortunately, there came a reward which entitled us adults for a 2-day vacation. That means my parents together with me and Mortimer will be out to relax and enjoy for a while.

So I went and asked Gareth to be in-charge of the house and the kids for a moment since he's the only teen left at home. He hesitantly reacted and told me he was worried since he might have a hard time dealing with the toddlers but he had no choice though. We left the next morning.
Gareth was having some mood swings that night and felt being a little rebellious. Instead of doing his responsibilities, he invited his friend Cori Langraab over.

They spent too much time together and eventually ended up as a couple.

But I guess it brought back the responsible Gareth and took away his mood swing. I just hope they'll be doing better for the next day.
